About WIGS

On Monday, Sept. 30, 2002 twelve women met together and expressed a mutual desire to reach out into the community for Christ.  A collective vision was shared acknowledging a method whereby women could be encouraged, witnessed and ministered to.

It was agreed that this ministry would, in no way, compete with any other established organization in Frankfort.  It would provide an additional avenue for encouraging women as they come to a greater knowledge and understanding of the Lord Jesus Christ. 

It was acknowledged that, to truly accomplish this mission, the meetings would beheld in the community and open to all women.  All events will stress the Bible and be free of charge, with a love offering being accepted.  These will be exciting times of praise, worship devotionals, and testimonies, with featured guest speakers and praise teams as well as individuals sharing their singing gifts.  Importantly, a time for individual ministry and restoration may be incorporated into each meeting as well.

This ministry operates on donations and tithes ten percent of all donated funds to Signart Ministries, led by Tyra Lokey Robinson.
